Client Stories

As a founder leading a largely founder-built team, we were facing challenges across performance, talent, leadership and structure. It wasn’t one issue, it was everything all at once.

I was feeling the weight of it. People issues were taking up more and more of my time - time that should have been spent on sales, product, and the areas where I have the strongest expertise and value to add. I was becoming a bottleneck to decisions, and there wasn’t really anyone to sense-check or work through these challenges with.

As a founder, you’re expected to know how to lead, hire, manage performance, and build a team but in reality, you’re often figuring it out as you go.

Carly brought immediate clarity and rigour to how we approached talent and organisational decisions. Her advice was candid, practical, and to the point and always grounded in the language of the business: revenue, execution, and decision-making.

But what stood out most was the impact beyond the obvious. She didn’t just solve problems, she helped our leadership team trust themselves. She built a level of confidence in decision-making that simply wasn’t there before, and that’s had a far greater long-term impact than any individual fix.

As a founder, you’re learning leadership in real time. Carly normalised that experience, helped us navigate it, and gave us the tools to grow into it - not just in the moment, but in a way that continues to compound.

She’s approachable, empathetic, and incredibly effective. Someone everyone in the business feels comfortable turning to. That combination is rare, and it’s what makes her so impactful.

Founder/CEO - AdTech - Series A

Carly has been fantastic to work with over the last 12 months. She is incredibly knowledgeable, brings a refreshing and realistic perspective, and consistently pushes you outside your comfort zone in the best way. She has really helped me understand both my leadership strengths and the gaps I needed to work on, and supported me in moving closer to where I want to get to in my career.

When I started working with Carly, I had just joined a new company. It was more of a sideways move, but I knew I wanted my next step to be a People Director role.

Through our work together, I wanted to get better at challenging stakeholders, pushing back with confidence, and becoming a more commercial HR leader.

Since working with Carly, I feel much more comfortable holding my ground while still building relationships and achieving the outcomes I want. I also feel far more confident that I am on the right track to step into a more senior role.

What I have really valued about working with Carly is her ability to reframe situations, help me see around corners, and act as a genuine thought partner. She has a way of stretching your thinking while still keeping things grounded and practical, which has made a real difference to me.

I have the pleasure of working closely with Carly, and she consistently stands out as a highly collaborative, driven, thoughtful and inclusive leader.

Carly has a unique ability to bring people together across teams and functions while maintaining a strong focus on execution and results. She takes initiative naturally, steps into challenges proactively, and drives important work forward with a sense of ownership and urgency.

One of Carly's greatest strengths is her communication style. She is clear, approachable, and highly effective at aligning teams around priorities, even during periods of significant change and complexity. She creates trust quickly and has a way of making people feel heard while still holding a high bar for performance and accountability.

Beyond her leadership capabilities, Carly has an exceptional growth mindset. She is constantly learning, seeking feedback, and finding ways to improve both herself and the organization around her. Her curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement make her an invaluable partner and leader.
